16 Months Old!

I can't believe how long it has been since I've updated! This past weekend, Drew turned 16 months old!  Some of the things that went on this past month for Drew... 

• He started signing "all done" when he is finished with something.
• Added the noises for a dog, cow, mimics a fish and does the roar of a dinosaur.
• Is recognizing his basic shapes (circle, square, triangle).
• He is constantly pointing to things and asking "what's that?".
• Learned where his ears and tongue are.
• Added several new words (light, duck, dog, cat, tree, Aubrey (classmate and friend), circle, octagon, book, ear).
• Loves to listen to music and dance.
• Still loves to read and his favorite books are still the Eric Carl ones.
• Has perfected his puzzles and is becoming more productive and less destructive with his blocks.

He is doing something new every day and we are having a blast watching him! 

Last week, we were a little part of history. On Wednesday we were doing this...

And on Friday morning, we were doing this...

So crazy! May 3, 2013, we had SNOW! Gross! 

On Friday afternoon, I got a call from Drew's teacher and Drew had been hit with a stomach bug... of the throw up nature. That was a first in this household! Look at this pitiful face! 

It only lasted about half a day... he slept like normal that night and woke up in great spirits on Saturday. After he would get sick, he would feel better for just a little bit and I would catch him doing something cute. I guess when he saw me cleaning after one episode, he thought he needed to get the broom out and do a little cleaning himself...

I had a clean "bucket" sitting on the end table and I think he was trying to be extra prepared here...

He was such a trooper and didn't get too down, despite how bad he seemed to feel. He recovered quickly and was back to normal the next day! Thank goodness!
