Last week Drew and Ryder had a super fun play date. These boys are one day apart and played so well together. It was so cute to see them actually interacting with each other now!
The weather was nice over the weekend, so we spent quite a bit of time outside. Drew tried his first popsicle. He wasn't sure about it at first and didn't want to touch it, but I am betting it will be a favorite this summer.
He does love his suckers and got to enjoy one of those as well! That is sucker drool all over his shirt...
On Saturday night, our sweet friend Aubrey was the guest of honor at the Heart Ball and we got to go! She was perfect, of course!
We didn't have to be at church until 10:30 on Sunday, so Drew spent the morning shooting hoops. Andy has been working with him on actually putting it through the top of the hoop and not the bottom and it finally clicked. He was proud!
Sunday was such a nice day! I got such sweet surprises this year.... my first flower delivery at work from my parents, a flower pot from Drew that he made at school and a facial from Andy and Drew. I know it was only my second one, but it was the perfect Mother's Day!
We were supposed to go to Bonefish for dinner Sunday night with my parents and brother/SIL, but we didn't make reservations in time, so we ended up eating pizza at Jim's. It was disgusting, but we had a good time and will definitely be doing a makeup Mother's Day dinner. We love our Mimi and she deserves a better celebration than that! Marlowe's face in this picture is hilarious! Haha...
Sunday night, Drew woke up at 11:00 and had us up off and on until 3:30. We haven't been up like that since the first week! So, we knew something might be wrong, but half the time he would act normal and half the time he would feel awful... fever, runny nose, etc.
With as bad as he felt, he didn't spend very much time resting. He was still pretty active, but if I put his Meet the Shapes DVD on, he would sit still for at least 20 minutes. This is seriously the only thing he will sit and watch for any length of time. This is also the reason he started saying "octagon".. ha!
We took him to the doctor on the third day of the back and forth sickness and the poor little guy had a double ear infection. The doctor was so impressed with how tough he was and couldn't believe he was acting as normal as he was when she was in there. He was walking around, dancing, talking and when she was checking his ears he didn't make a peep. I thought this picture of him sitting in the chair by himself looking at her was so sweet!
I thought these pictures were cute too... thank goodness Andy goes to pretty much all of our doctor's appointments. He keeps both of us entertained and makes a not so fun place, not too bad.
We started antibiotics that night and he is on the road to recovery! We are all exhausted though!
