We went to Jasper to watch Cassie play basketball, Sidney cheer and just hang out with the family at the cabin for the weekend. Lance and Traci joined us and my parents came over to see us for the day on Saturday. On our way out of town that Friday, we drove by the new house and discovered they had officially broken ground!
When we got in to Jasper, we went straight to the gym to cheer on the Lady Pirates! Drew loved getting to watch "Sassie" play and Sidney cheer. I didn't expect him to sit there very long, but he pretty much stayed locked in to the court for the entire two hours that we were there. He did get to walk around a little bit with Halle and I tried to get a picture of him sitting with the student section at the game, but it was across the court. He really has the sweetest cousins. They were so proud of him! If you look closely, you can see him sitting on Grey's lap with his orange shoe laces.Once we got back to the cabin, Marlowe and Drew attempted to watch a movie. I don't remember it lasting more than a few minutes, but it made for a cute picture.
Saturday, we just enjoyed each other's company and the somewhat nice weather. Even with the obvious look of winter, the view at the cabin is always amazing!
Throwing rocks with his cousins and Aunt Dess...Checking on things...
On our way home on Sunday, we stopped to see Andy's Aunt Donna. Drew talked about her for almost a week after we saw her that morning. She has an in-home daycare and he was on cloud nine in her toy room. He was particularly obsessed with the kitchen...
We also stopped and saw Andy's step-mom, Nedra. Having a sweet little chat about all of his birthday goodies from her...
The next weekend, Drew got to visit his first putting green. We used this space for a part of his two year pictures and he loved it. I think hitting the ball in the hole was a lot like a puzzle to him.
The rest of the day, we literally had nothing to do but goof off and this next group of pictures makes that very obvious...
After church on Sunday, we ate lunch at Hunan Manor. Drew usually does really well there, but for some reason, he was determined to take his shirt off at the table. It did not happen...
That afternoon, the weather was amazing, so we spent some time in the backyard...
The very next weekend, we celebrated our friend Aubrey's second birthday...
Then came home Sunday after church to this...
And wrapped up the weekend, with one of Drew's new loves... the train table turned drum set... for no less than 3 combined hours... before it started back up Monday morning to start out our snow day.
