Swim Lessons, Projects and Sprinklers

We have been so busy and so productive over the last week! Drew started swim lessons, we celebrated our anniversary, Andy re-mulched our flower beds, I organized the utility room and upstairs closets and we had my side of the family over for dinner. Whew!

Drew's first night of swim lessons did not go like we hoped. He hated it and cried almost the entire time.
The second night, however, was a 100% improvement. He did so good and was even trying to stick his face in the water for a drink at one point!
The instructor was so impressed with how good his mood was, she decided to dunk him for the first time. He handled it like a champ!
Friday night, Drew went to Mimi and Poppy's house while Andy and I went to dinner to celebrate our anniversary. Dinner was delicious and Drew had a ton of fun!

Saturday, we went to the Farmer's Market to load up on veggies. Drew obviously didn't think he needed to be in the stroller while we were there...
Drew took a 3.5 hour nap that afternoon. Talk about breaking a record! He's a good napper... good, not great. But he has never slept that long for a nap. I seriously don't remember him sleeping that long during the day as a newborn either. After he woke up, he was ready to get to work.  He watched Andy shovel out the mulch and immediately had to try it as soon as the shovel was free. He is becoming quite the imitator lately!
He was such a good helper! He helped put the mulch in the flower beds...
And then tried to help sweep up the mulch, but ended up in the grass. He got so frustrated that it wasn't working like usual. I wish I could have captured his face here!
After all that, I think it's safe to say, these boys were tuckered out...
Tonight, we had my family over for dinner and let the kids play in the water sprinklers. They had so much fun!

Sitting in the backyard, watching these two play so well together was the perfect ending to a great weekend!

Yes!

Drew has been saying "yes" to almost anything we ask him lately. I've gotten a few no's, but it's mostly yes... which can make asking questions a lot of fun!
